UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL

Agenda

DELEBRATION UPON THE PROTECTION OF ETHNIC, RELIGIOUS, AND CULTURAL MINORITIES IN ARMED AND POST-CONFLICT REGIONS, WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION AS A DRIVER OF DISPLACEMENT AND CULTURAL ERASURE

The UNHRC is a UN inter-governmental body of 47 elected member states dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights worldwide. Established in 2006, it addresses human rights violations through mechanisms like the Universal Periodic Review and Special Procedures, while also debating pressing global issues and recommending action on cases of gross abuses. In this committee, delegates will balance state sovereignty with universal rights, negotiating resolutions on issues ranging from civil liberties to humanitarian crises.
